Valentine’s Day is celebrated all around the world. As love is the
most wonderful of all feelings, what could be a better time to let your
dear ones know that you love them?
The pupils from 5B class (“Avram Iancu “School- Bistrita) enjoyed
themselves having a special activity on Valentine’s Day . After telling
them the legends about Valentine , I showed the children some
symbols of love that people use to give on this occasion (cute teddy
bears, butterflies, red roses, satin hearts,etc) .Then I also spoke
about a Romanian traditional holiday similar to Valentine’s Day ,
Dragobete , which is celebrated on February 24.
The second part of the activity was a practical one. The children
made some cards for their friends and for the members of their families
and wrote short poems to express their affection and to make their day
bloom with lots of joy and happiness.
